Stephanie Chang is joining Santa Rosa Junior College as a full-time faculty in Asian American Studies. Originally from the Chicago suburbs, she holds an MA in Asian American Studies from theUniversity of California, Los Angeles and recently completed a PhD in Gender Studies at UCLA. Her interests include Asian American cultural critique, critical Cold War studies and Asian American feminist horror. As an educator, she has taught courses in Asian American Studies and Gender Studies focused on community and activist histories, literature and culture, feminisms, and film. Having been involved in anti-imperialist, housing justice, and anti-racist organizing spaces, she is excited to be at SRJC to further hone these passions alongside students, faculty, staff, and the broader NorCal community.
